R.A.D. Scholarship Donations. Your contributions to our production will help with production costs as well as benefit The Royal Academy of Dance Scholarship Fund. Jan Kocjan is a certified R.A.D. teacher, she prepares her students for the yearly examinations this prestigious organization oversees each Spring. The Royal Academy of Dance, founded in 1920, is the largest examining body for classical ballet in the world. Thanks to the carefully graded syllabi which serves as a framework for our classes, and the training Jan Kocjan has received through The Academy as a teacher, our standards are on par with more than 250,000 students in more than 80 countries throughout the world.

Donations generated by our Nutcracker and spring performances, enable us to send our most talented students to a summer school for further professional training in ballet, based upon their scores in Royal Academy of Dancing spring examinations. Past scholarship recipients are: Suzanna Behne, Gwendolyn Jensen, Sara Beckwith, Kristen Jensen, Kayla Lee, Amelia Holmes, Heather Ward, Ryanne Cochran, Jessica Bartholomew, Cali Couts and Rebecca Holsten.

Please contact The Dancespace if you are interested in becoming a “Friend of Dance”.
